Any number that comes in the ID as Unknown, Out of area or Unavailable; asks for the householder by name and then refuses to leave a messages is suspect.

In Googling the number I found that it might be associated with what I call a 'false charity' this one for police. A professional fund raiser that ends up giving very little to the actual organization they call for.

They would like these 'donations' to go by credit card. So I call that phishing and in my book that is a prank.

Rec'd a phone call from this number as Unknown. This is a scam. They called me before using another number saying it was a call to fund the PA State Police and other officers. I called the State Police about this before and they are unaware of this organization and that the State Police do NOT call around for funding. This was on 5/10/2017 at 1:40.
